The Founders and Directors of Granite Worktops UK, Julian Mars and Andy Darby are both fully qualified stonemasons and in addition, Julian is a qualified conservation mason. They have a great passion for working with natural materials like granite and marble with their inherent beauty and longevity and this comes through in all their work. Only the most experienced and skilled craftsmen are employed by GWUK and Andy and Julian take a hands on approach to each job ensuring their team are fully supervised to meet their own high standards.

During Julian's time spent working within the granite trade producing and fitting granite for outside contractors, he was frustrated with the lack of attention to detail which he had become used to working to within the masonry world. With this in mind he and Andrew Darby decided to start GWUK following the time honoured tradition of masons, working to very exacting standards and tight tolerances. Quality first..
